Description

(I felt I had to update this chart. Sorry about the shitty quality. I'm afraid I only have an iPhone to compensate the size of such a huge picture. X3 )

These are all the known species of conchin, seven in all.

From left to right, top to bottom.

1. Short-Haired:
-These are the brainiacs of the conchin world. Armed with opposable dew claws, these conchins are capable of the more academic tasks such as art, writing, economics, engineering, etc. They are not athletes or hunters, and use trade as their most reliable food source. However, their accomplishments in the science and math industry compensates. They're well known for establishing the new, species-wide economic system, and their capital town of Rosebark contains the largest bank in the world. All funds, and goods, go through here for inspection and inventory. (In other words, these conchins are typically control freaks.) Writers of this species enjoy traveling, collecting stories and documenting their findings of the natural world. Their documents find their home at the library of Rosebark Abbey. They're ruled by the Father Abbot, who teaches the belief in the divine power of nature.
These conchins weigh about 10-15lbs, and stand about 2.5 ft at the shoulders. From nose to tail, they are about 3 ft in length. The females tend to be larger. These are the slowest conchins.

2. River (Long-haired):
-Creative and beautiful, these posh jewelry-producing conchins are the most regal species. They are the main purchasers of rare metals and precious gemstones mined by the pygmy conchins. Their strong forelimbs and lithe bodies make them fantastic swimmers, and their water-repellent coats keep them warm in the frigid temperatures of the northern country. They are capable of staying below the surface for about seven minutes at a time with a quick recovery. Their main exports are jewelry, accessories and seafood.
They are heavy conchins, weighing in between 15-30lbs. They are not very fast, but compensate with their speed underwater. At the shoulders, they stand between 2-3 ft tall.

3. Nyx:
-An aggressive, nocturnal species. They are the armor and weapon-smiths. When these conchins are involved in war, they almost never lose. Most are smart enough to not pick a fight with these guys. They are strong-willed, and typically hot-headed, but are also dependable and loyal, and will make the most caring of mothers. Most activity is done from dusk until dawn, so their pelts are usually dark in color. Their eyes, on the contrary, are bright and acidic in color. Their main prey are birds and small mammals, but they will settle for small reptiles and eggs. Despite their aggressive nature, they are well-known herbalists. Many can make up powerful tonics for most ailments, and each village tends to have a public garden to harvest from. The Nyx enjoy wearing vibrant war paint and feathers.
These are swift and stealthy killers that can reach speeds up to 50mph (80kph), however, their small chests and heart conditions prevent them from reaching these speeds for more than a few seconds. They can weigh between 15-20lbs (mostly due to muscle) and stand almost 3.5 ft tall. However, the dangerous wilderness they reside in provides plenty of predators, so only the strongest of these conchins don't reach this size.

4. Tree:
-Tree conchins are the most peaceful and notoriously happy species. They spend most of their lives in tree houses, or hollow cavities in a variety of trees. Lone tree conchins sleep on branches. They have very sharp sight, and fair hearing. They are long-limbed and thin, making them light on their feet. Their pelts are typically brown, or very rarely green, to match their jungle environment. They enjoy basking and 'lazing' about in sunlight for hours on end, and are known for mediation. The rainforest is unnatural and terrifying to the other species. Their main export is fruits and spices. They are flawless cooks who utilize their spices expertly.
This species is fairly small, weighing only about 7-10lbs and stand about 2ft at the shoulders.

5. Long-Eared:
-The rarest species. They were musically talented group of conchins who vanished years ago for some unknown reason. Many believe they took shelter underground, but few have gone to find the lost civilization due to the hazardous conditions of their former home. The artifacts found tell archaeologists that they, like short-hairs, had opposable dew claws that they used to play their expertly crafted instruments. They were a peaceful, romantic and friendly species that used their creativity primarily for music, be it singing or playing an instrument. Their large ears were finely tuned to the nuances of music. Old stories also tell of how their ears were also used as blankets. They were not known for any athletic pursuits, but they were known for their lavish parties, and romance. Suitors would often charm their lovers to win their hearts. They were not picky with species they mated with, which often got them into trouble with the law.
This species is roughly the same size as its fellow tree and short-haired conchins. Their ears, however, can add an extra 10lbs to these conchins' weight. Obviously, they were clumsy runners.

6. Pharoah:
-This lithe, swift species has a complex language significant to the desertous territory. They are exquisite hunters, due to their fine sense of smell and infrared vision, and their boosts of speed that can reach up to 80 mph.
