My Little Room by Loryska My Little Room by Loryska
As requested, I decided to share my room and pets with all of you. Not all of my pets are seen here, such as my dog Lilly, because I was thinking of doing a part two thingie.

The artwork and stuff at the top is my collection of "happy art" that I've gotten from a variety of places. It's not so much the art that makes me happy, but the memories that they trigger. Every joy sparking object in my room has a story, and because of my poor memory, having a nice picture is really helpful in reminding me of good times. The Gwen Stephani poster was given to me by my boyfriend before we started dating as a reward for winning a scavenger hunt on a road trip, the post cards and apple/grape painting are from my trip to Italy and Greece (the painting came from Athens, and I got it half off because I was a student.) The black and white print came from Meteora, Greece which was super duper gorgeous...like omg, look it up. The little "noir-ish" style postcards, next to the tiny handpainted watercolor I got in Venice, came from Patmos. There was a shocking amount of cheap, high-quality artwork in abundance over there.
The elephant painting above my tea set and bookshelf is "Charmed Lives" (1936)  by Edward Lupper, and that particular print was given to me by my late and precious Great Grandmother who knew him personally.

Finally, onto my pets. The golden leopard gecko is Bellatrix, whom I adopted this last Fall from my local Reptile Show, and her adopted partner is Petra. Petra is actually my sister's gecko, but I'm taking care of her for now. The vet wasn't able to diagnose her, but she hasn't been eating in months so she's been getting a calcium + D3 supplement daily and a nice warm bath to keep her hydrated. Bellatrix is my sweet chubby tangerine, and Petra squeaks at me whenever I pick her up to give her her medicine.
I have three aquariums: one 10 gal, one 5.5 gal and one 1 gal. In the 10 gal tank I have Yohji the dark blue Double Tail betta and Pferffernuuse the Zig Zag Eel. In the 5.5 I have twelve male Endler's Livebearers, and finally the one gallon is home to the blue-and-white Butterfly betta I'm thinking of calling Tetzcatlipoca or Shama.

As a bonus, I included a picture of myself in Anacortes, Washington on a nature walk with my sister.

It only comes out at night, and sometimes it even buries itself in the substrate if it has no hiding places. It's a crazy lil animal. It's part of the spiny eel group, and is not a true eel, and is more just an elongated fishy thing.
